The vision for “theGathering” is founded upon Matthew 6:10 as Jesus is teaching His disciples. Our hope as a church, is that we would see this vision come to life.
Our mission is to move vision into real life-transformation that serves people, functions well, and stays true to our Kingdom calling.

1. GOSPEL IS OUR MESSAGE
The purpose of theGathering is to share the hope of Jesus. Jesus is our message. We are Jesus people, not religious people. Methods will come and go, yet our message will remain the same.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8
2. PEOPLE ARE OUR HEARTS
Our heart is for ALL people. All people are loved by Jesus. We are unapologetic about being focused on reaching those far away from God. We desire to bring the broken home at all costs and deeply disciple those who are home. We believe that our light is best seen in the night.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. ” John 13 : 34-35
3. GENEROSITY IS OUR POSTURE
Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a posture. We're generous with our time, talents and treasure. We go first in our giving. God has given richly towards us, it's our honor to give back to Him.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ” 2 Corinthian 9:7
4. FAMILY IS OUR CULTURE
We are passionate about seeing all generations worship Jesus. Our pursuit is the feeling of family is not just felt but embraced. The culture of family echos our heart that everyone will belong before they believe.
“And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Exodus 3:6
5. EXCELLENCE IS OUR SPIRIT
We are going to always do the best with what we have. We're on time, engaged and prepared. We don't do things half way. If we're going to do it, it's going to be to the best of our ability.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, ” Colossians 3:23
6. PRAYER IS OUR FOUNDATION
We are bold believers that prayer is fundamentally essential to our foundation. Prayer isn’t our last resort but our first response. We are a praying people, guided by the Holy Spirit and empowered by His Word.
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ” Philippians 4:6
